In the afternoon of June 3, under the organization of the International Cooperation Office of the Comprehensive Research Division, the first activity of the International Exchange Conference of Xi'an Institute of Optics and Precision Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences was held. Professor Anwar Hussain, an international visiting scholar of the President’s International Fellowship Initiative (PIFI), was invited to give an academic report entitled Generation and Application of Structured Light. The meeting was host by Yang Yuchen from the International Cooperation Office of the Comprehensive Research Department, and Deputy Director Fu Yuxi attended and delivered the opening word. More than 50 researchers and students from the institute participated in this academic exchange.

Fu Yuxi stated that international cooperation and exchange have become an important component of academic research in this rapidly developing era. The purpose of this activity is to promote in-depth exchanges and discussions among scholars in the field of disciplines, and jointly promote the development of academic research. Hoping through academic seminars and other platforms, everyone can gather wisdom, enhance international perspectives, and jointly explore methods and approaches to solve current and future challenges.

At the exchange meeting, Anwar Hussain shared his learning and working experience, as well as his current project as a visiting scholar of Yao Baoli Research Group of XIOPM, which focuses on the production of structured light and its various applications. After the report, in-depth communication took place on-site.
